I'm pleased to announce I have begun a solo piano work for Pittsburgh-based pianist, James W. Iman. Throughout his career, James has specialized in performing works from the 20th and 21st century, including pieces by Amy, Boulez, Cage, and Stockhausen.
James and I met at New England Conservatory's Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice (SICPP) in Summer 2015. James and a handful of other talented musicians performed my graphic work Oil Stained America at the festival in Boston, MA. We're both very excited to continue collaboration together with this commission for piano solo!
Performance dates for the commission are scheduled for late 2016 in Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Stay tuned for more details regarding the performance dates and the work!
